OKLAHOMA CITY -- Severe storms could move across the state Friday, but once again, the metro area may be left high and dry.

Today will be partly sunny and warm with highs getting into the upper 80s in central Oklahoma. A slight chance of storms will be possible in Oklahoma City Friday afternoon.

As a cold front makes its way into central and southern Oklahoma, the scattered strong to severe storms will be possible in southern and central Oklahoma. Areas southeast of the metro and eastern Oklahoma could also experience severe weather. Threats with these storms include hail, damaging winds and a few isolated tornadoes.

Friday night, central Oklahoma has a better chance of seeing some storms, with the main risk being hail.

Saturday will be much cooler with highs only in the 60s and gusty northeast winds. Saturday will hold only a 30 percent chance for showers, with an even better chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms on Sunday.
