El Reno Police Officer Charged With DUI After Crashing Cruiser

El RENO, Oklahoma -- El Reno Police Officer Chris Leal was arrested and charged with DUI after crashing his car into a ditch.

El Reno Police were called out to the scene Saturday evening and found the squad car in a ditch and Leal missing.

After a small search they located Officer Leal a couple miles from the crash site and conducted a field sobriety test.

Police say the test determined Officer Leal was under the influence alcohol. He was then arrested and charged with DUI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

He has since posted bond and is on administrative leave without pay.
