Stillwater Man Accused Of Burning Baby With Hair Dryer

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A 20-year-old Stillwater man has been charged with felony child abuse for allegedly burning his 3-month-old son with a hair dryer.

Maurice Wilson was arrested Wednesday and charged Thursday in Payne County District Court. He's being held in the Payne County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Court records do not list an attorney for him.

District Attorney Tom Lee wrote in the charging document that the baby suffered third-degree burns to his face, ears and body and has about two dozen blisters on his body.

Investigators told The Stillwater NewsPress that Wilson had bathed the baby then used the hair dryer to dry him.

The infant is now hospitalized in Tulsa.
