TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police arrested a 54-year-old man early Thursday in connection with the city's 15th homicide of 2011.

The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Stewart James Wainscot.

News On 6 had the only news crew there when officers arrested Ben Clark in northwest Tulsa around 3:45 a.m.

Police arrested Ben Clark in connection to a fatal shooting in a home in the 1000 block of North Rockford about 3 and a half hours earlier.

Tulsa Police were called to the home on North Rockford just after midnight and found a man with a head wound dead on the couch in the back of the home.

According to police, Clark spoke to officers by phone shortly after the shooting and told them it was an accident.

Officers tracked Ben Clark to a home in the 300 block of North Xenophon Avenue and arrested him without incident.

According to jail records, Clark told police he had shot the victim with a shotgun.  He then panicked and fled the home.

Clark was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of first degree murder.  He is being held without bond.
