OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man who told police his wife was shot during a home invasion pleaded guilty to killing her.
In 2009 police questioned David Hammond before arresting him for the first-degree murder of his wife, Delola.
Hammond struck a plea deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree murder. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison, with 10 of those being suspended.
The victim's sister told police the couple had been fighting in the days leading up to the murder.
