OKLAHOMA CITY -- Firefighters have gotten control of a grassfire burning in northeast Oklahoma City Sunday night.
The grassfire was first spotted near N.E. 10th Street between Bryant and Sooner around 8:30 p.m. Firefighters said the line of flames stretched about 250 yards.
Crews from Oklahoma City, Midwest City and Del City managed to get ahead of the fire and knock it down before it jumped N.E. 10th Street and reached a salvage yard and a housing addition.
Firefighters are now concentrating on the back side of the fire, and extinguishing hot spots.
