OKLAHOMA CITY – A multicounty grand jury will reconvene to gather more evidence in the murder case of Oklahoma City mother Julie Mitchell.

Mitchell was murdered in her northwest Oklahoma City home in November 2010.

The grand jurors heard from Julie's husband Teddy Mitchell and his son, Daniel, who found his stepmother beaten to death inside her closet. Julie Mitchell's one-year-old daughter was in a pool of blood next to her body.

The grand jury said they received testimony from several other witnesses and "numerous exhibits in several different matters."

An interim report from the multicounty grand jury stated "The time allotted this session did not permit the grand jury to complete its investigation of the matters heard. The grand jury will recess at this time to its next session on April 18-20, 2011, to permit the summoning of additional witnesses and the gathering of additional physical evidence by the investigators assisting the grand jury at which time the grand jury will resume its investigations."

The Mitchells' attorneys can't reveal what was said behind the closed doors, but they said they hope it helps solve Julie's murder.

"We came forward with everything we knew about everybody and everything, and hopefully we've given them some information that can help them solve this," said Scott Adams, Daniel Mitchell's attorney.

Police confirmed they are continuing to receive tips, including anonymous letters sent to local media outlets, but so far, they have not arrested anyone or named a suspect.
