TECUMSEH, Oklahoma -- Authorities are investigating a shooting at a Tecumseh mobile home park Tuesday evening.

Investigators said they believe a man and woman came to the Pecan Village Mobile Home Park to talk to the woman's ex-husband. After some sort of altercation, the woman's ex-husband went into to a house, got a rifle and allegedly shot the man.

Neighbors said they heard two shots then saw the man and woman's van speed off.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper saw the van going north on 177 at a high rate of speed. When he made contact with the driver, she told him her husband had been shot and she had to get him to the hospital. The trooper then escorted the woman to the Unity Hospital in Shawnee.

"He helped himself into the wheelchair, he was walking," said Julia Lawferriere who was in the Shawnee ER when the gunshot victim arrived. "The woman he was with, his wife I think, was covered with blood."

The man suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and was taken by helicopter to Oklahoma City. Authorities have not yet said if the woman suffered any injuries.

Tecumseh police took a suspect and another person into custody for questioning.
