OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man who tried to get a loan at a northwest Oklahoma City bank decided to instead steal the cash.
The man walked into the Bank of Oklahoma on N. Meridian near N.W. 26th Street at 12:10 p.m. Friday. He spoke to a loan officer and explained what type of loan he needed. When the loan officer told the man the bank could not help him, the man walked up to a teller stand and grabbed a withdrawal slip. He wrote a demand note on the slip and handed it to the teller. The note read:
Give me all of your $50s and $100s. Do not hit the alarm. Do it.
The teller complied. The robber snatched the cash and left the bank with an unknown amount of money. The FBI said he did not show a weapon during the robbery and no one was injured.
The robber is described as a white male, approximately 5' 10" with a medium build. He wore a baseball cap, dark T-shirt, jeans and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information about the robbery should call the FBI at (405) 290-7770.
