OKLAHOMA CITY -- A former prosecutor with the Oklahoma County D.A.'s office is accused of corruption, coercion and falsifying testimony in a 1993 murder case.

Brad Miller was a prosecutor for 14 years and is currently in private practice. He told News 9 that the 32 page complaint he's facing from the Bar Association is farfetched and wrong. Read the full complaint from the Oklahoma Bar Association Against Brad Miller.

The 1993 murder case grabbed headlines. A 14-year-old girl, Shauna Farrow, was gunned down in what was believed to be a gang related drive-by shooting near S.E. 22nd and Stonewall.

Brad Miller was the Assistant District Attorney assigned with prosecuting the case that sent Yancy Douglas and Paris Powell to death row. The case was ultimately overturned and the men were set free.

Rand Eddy represents Yancy Douglas in his current civil lawsuit against Miller. They are asking for $16 million from Miller, the state of Oklahoma, and the law firm Miller works for now.

"My client wants to be compensated for the 16 years he spent on death row," said attorney Rand Eddy.

Eddy said Douglas maintains his innocence to this day and has been trying to put his life back together.

The only eye witness to what happened that night was Derrick Smith, an admitted gang member who was with Shauna during the incident. Smith was injured in the shooting and also believed to be the intended target. Smith is also the one who pointed the finger at Douglas and Powell.

Not long after the convictions, Smith changed his story. According to this Oklahoma Bar Complaint, Miller forced Smith to falsify his testimony in return for special undisclosed favors.

But Miller and his legal team flatly reject that in their response. Court papers state Miller denies Smith's accusation that he received assistance in exchange for his testimony and that Smith had several motives for recanting his testimony, including financial gain and his own security. Douglas's attorney said that will ultimately be up to the state Supreme Court and a jury to decide.

"We're going to do everything in our power to see that justice is done," said Eddy.

Smith is currently serving time in a Texas prison.

If convicted by the Supreme Court, Miller could be disbarred.

No one else has been charged for the shooting death of Shauna Farrow.
