2 Killed In Crash Along State Highway 9 Near Carnegie

Two drivers were killed in a collision in Kiowa County Friday afternoon.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Oklahoma – Two drivers were killed in a collision in Kiowa County Friday afternoon.

The crash happened along State Highway 9 two miles west of Carnegie at about 2:10 p.m.

Oran Casey, 83, of Mountain View, was driving a 1975 Dodge pickup eastbound on SH9. Warren Bointy, 21, of Carnegie, was traveling westbound in a 2002 Dodge pickup.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said Bointy drove over the center line and hit the front-left side of Casey's truck.

The 83-year-old was pinned for approximately two hours before being extricated by the Carnegie Fire Department. Bointy was pinned for 15 minutes.

Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt. They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.
