DAVENPORT, Oklahoma – A Davenport man accused of setting grass fires was arrested Monday, according to a news release from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

Investigators said Stanley Wagner, 39, was booked on four counts of third-degree arson.

Davenport Police Chief Bill Sides said his department found evidence of arson after several "suspicious fires" began earlier this month.

According to the ODAFF, Wagner admitted setting four fires.

"We are continuing to investigate to determine if he is responsible for other fires in the area," Col. Mike Grimes, ODAFF Chief Investigator said.

Investigators believe he may have been setting fires, which burned areas between Chandler and Davenport, for about a year.

No homes or buildings were damaged.

If convicted, Wagner faces up to 15 years in prison for each charge.
