FORT COBB, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a forklift accident killed 5-year-old girl Sunday afternoon.

Troopers said Gerald Bennett, 22, was driving a forklift carrying five children all under the age of 10 in Caddo County when an embankment gave way causing the forklift to roll off a 4-foot embankment.

A five-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 7-year-old girl was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and a 6-year-old girl was transported in fair condition.

A 9-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy were not injured.

Bennett was transported to the hospital in critical condition.  The OHP said he and the 6-year-old girl were trapped under the forklift for 45 minutes and were freed by a neighbor who used a track hoe.
