NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Norman police are investigating three pizza robberies that have occurred in the last two weeks.

Two of those robberies involved employees of Pizza Shuttle who were held up while attempting to make deliveries.

"In both cases they gave us an address, and of course the people at that address had no idea. They never ordered that food. In both cases they pulled a gun on our drivers, and they took their money pouch from them," general manager Hamid Nahavandian said.

Being a pizza delivery guy can not only be dangerous, sometimes it can prove deadly. Three years ago Jeremy Moore was shot and killed while delivering a pizza to an Oklahoma City Apartment complex. The killers got away with less than $43.

Jeremy Moore's father didn't worry much when his son took the job.

"I thought you know it was always a little possibility of a robbery or something, but I never once dreamed that he'd be murdered," said Dwayne Moore.

Pizza Shuttle tells its drivers not to resist any robber and to hand over the money, which is always a small amount.

"We advertise in all of our advertisements that drivers carry less than $25. And that's basically the precautions we take," said Nahavandian.

But with pizza delivery in high demand, the risk to drivers will always be there.

Norman police said victims gave similar descriptions of the robber so they believe it may be the same person involved. If you have any information about these crimes, call Norman Crime Stoppers (405) 366-STOP (7867).
