TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police are looking for the driver of a red extended cab pickup truck that hit a Tulsa police officer and his police car Wednesday morning before driving off.

The officer had pulled over an SUV for a traffic violation around 2 a.m. near 27th and Peoria when the southbound pickup truck did not yield for the officer and his vehicle, striking the officer with the truck's side view mirror.

The officer was treated at the scene by EMSA paramedics for back and elbow injuries.

Police credit the way the officer had parked his patrol car for preventing more serious injuries to him.

If you have any information that can help police find the driver of the pickup truck, call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
