Copper Theft Suspect Tries To Run From OKC Police

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police have arrested a man suspected of attempting to steal copper from an OG&E substation.

Officers were called to the substation near Memorial and Rockwell around 9 p.m. Tuesday. They first spotted copper inside a vehicle, then saw a man take off running.

K-9 units were able to track down the suspect in a nearby field. He is facing a second-degree burglary charge. His name has not been released.
