An Oklahoma City Police officer was laid to rest Saturday after fighting illness for the past six months.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City Police officer was laid to rest Saturday after fighting illness for the past six months.

Charlene Barry joined the Oklahoma City Police Department in 1976 after serving in the military. "B," as he was called by many, never retired from the force and helped to train new officers.

Barry was 77 years old.
