Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahomans already getting spring fever shouldn't pack up their winter gear just yet. A significant winter storm will bring a bitter end to the warm weekend.

High winds, low wind chills and winter precipitation are expected starting late Monday night and continuing into Wednesday morning.

The winter storm will develop to the south overnight Monday and move northeast bringing freezing rain and sleet early Tuesday morning. Snow fall is expected after 4 a.m. Tuesday in the southern and central parts of the state with snow chances decreasing into the afternoon.

With 30 plus mph wind and higher wind gusts, even a few inches of snow could become a problem.
