Sand Springs Police Find Wanted Man Hiding In A Couch

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- A Sand Springs man wanted on a warrant for child abuse with injury was found hiding Tuesday morning in a hollowed-out couch.

Police were at 28-year-old William Smith's residence in the 200 block of North Garfield to serve the warrant, when a woman pointed to the couch.

After lifting the couch, police officers found Smith hiding in the modified piece of furniture.

Smith and the woman, 24-year-old Kristen Caddell, were arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail.

Smith was booked on a public intoxication complaint and the child abuse charge. Caddell was being held on a complaint of harboring a fugitive.
