OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma will soon have an Innocence Clinic. Oklahoma City University Law school administrators said Tuesday they will be joining with the Innocence Project to work on exonerating wrongly convicted inmates in Oklahoma.

To celebrate the joint project, the Executive Director of New York's Innocence Project, Madeline Delone, was at the university Tuesday night speaking to students.

She said they have been hoping for years that someone in Oklahoma would start an innocence project.

"I think there's a need for this in every part of the country. And Oklahoma is one of the few states with a significant prison population that doesn't have an innocence clinic or an innocence effort of some sort," said Delone.

The Dean of the OCU's Law school said they will launch the clinic in Fall 2011.
