News On 6 has learned the killer who ambushed Brown brought two guns with him that night and used them both. He shot Ed in the chest with an SKS rifle and he died almost instantly.

He then shot a woman at Ed's home with a handgun. She hid in the woods and called 911.

911 Operator: "Mam."

Caller: "Yeah."

911 Operator: Who did this?"

Caller: "I don't know the man. We pulled up."

911 Operator: "Was he white, black, Hispanic?"

Caller: "He was white, long blondish hair. He's got Ed's Chevy truck. I hope he don't come back to kill me. My friend's dead." (crying)

The woman, Lee Ann, was a friend of Ed's and was at his house, when a man came up from the woods and shot Ed, then turned the gun on her.

Caller: "Hurry, get somebody out here before."

911 Operator: "They're coming as fast as they can, okay."

Caller: "I'm shot in the hand and shoulder."

911 Operator: "Okay."

Caller: (crying)

While she's talking to county and EMSA dispatchers, at one point, she thinks the killer has come back and she's terrified.

911 Operator: "I need you to stay calm for me."

Caller: "He's coming back, he's coming back."

911 Operator: "Can you go inside and lock the door?"

Caller: "No, he'll kill me."

She realizes it is not the killer and stays on the phone, devastated that her dear friend has been killed right in front of her.

911 Operator: "Try to stay as calm a you can."

Caller: "My best friend in the world's dead."

911 Operator: "Okay, listen to me; listen to me, right now we have to take care of you, okay?"

Tulsa County deputies say Steven Keeling is the suspect they are looking for.  He may be driving a tan or brown Chevy Extended Cab pick-up with an Oklahoma tag of 657-DTH.

Investigators believe Ed was the main target of the shooting. Ed's family says he spent several years in prison, but, since then he's tried to live his life in such a way as to make up for his past mistakes.

Friends say he was a selfless, generous man who helped others, even when he couldn't afford to.

Ed was an expert Harley Davidson mechanic and still rode motorcycles whenever he could.  The woman who was shot, Lee Ann, is out of the hospital and staying with friends.

Funeral services for Ed, whose was also known as Butch, is Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bixby Funeral Home at 13307 South Memorial.

His family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bikers Against Child Abuse in Ed's name.  Those donations can be made at Western Sun Federal Union.
