OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okmulgee -- A man is dead following a shooting at a ranch in rural eastern Okmulgee County Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the shooting on Bald Hill Road east of State Highway 52 just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

The man's body was found outside a barn.  The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office would not identify the man, but said a woman was being questioned.  Their names have not been released.

Deputies said the shooting was a result of a property dispute.  They said several people who witnessed the shooting were questioned at the scene.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it's too early in the investigation to release any additional information, but a spokesman said the female suspect has not been arrested.
