OKLAHOMA CITY -- After some snow and freezing drizzle overnight into Monday morning, some had a slippery commute. Northern sections of the state saw the most snow while other parts of the state had some freezing drizzle and minimal light snow.

The News 9 Weather team said there is a chance for continued light snow Monday afternoon, with up to an extra inch in some locations, so drivers should remain cautious on bridges and overpasses.

Frigid temperatures are on the way. An arctic front will make its way through the state Monday afternoon, bringing strong north winds and knocking down temperatures.

Lows will dip down into the teens Monday night, with wind chills below zero in some locations. The arctic air will stick around with highs only getting up into the low to mid 20s Tuesday afternoon. With north winds at 15 to 30 mph Tuesday, wind chills will be painful.

Wednesday morning, lows will dip down into the single digits in central Oklahoma with temperatures not expecting to rebound until Thursday afternoon.
