Police Arrest Enid Sex Offender In Moore

ENID Oklahoma – A registered sex offender was arrested in Moore after he failed to notify authorities when he moved to a new address.

Raymond Smith registered as an "aggravated" sex offender in Enid in July. Smith was convicted of rape by instrumentation in Pawnee, Oklahoma in 2005.

Enid police said the 25-year-old failed to notify them when he moved to another address in Moore and was living too close to a school.

"The Enid Police Department considers the management of sex offenders to be a very important aspect of public safety" stated Enid Police Sergeant Dustin Albright.
