EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The parents of an Edmond soldier said they expect to hear from an Army Clemency Board today.

Scott and Vicki Behenna are asking the board to reduce the sentence of Lt. Michael Behenna, who's serving 15 years for killing an Iraqi detainee two years ago.

They traveled to Virginia earlier this month to speak before the clemency board saying their son was no threat and was suffering extreme stress when he shot the man suspected of being a member of al-Qaida. The Behennas hope the sentence will be reduced to time served and that Michael will be home for Christmas.

Vicki Behenna's testimony before the board in January helped get a five year reduction in Michael's sentence.
