Bank Of The West Employees Locked in Vault During Robbery

FBI agents are investigating a robbery at a Bank of the West branch in Oklahoma City during which two employees were locked in the bank vault.

OKLAHOMA CITY – FBI agents are investigating a robbery at a Bank of the West branch in Oklahoma City during which two employees were locked in the bank vault.

At about 6:15 p.m., two black male suspects entered the Bank of the West at 5401 N.W. 23rd Street and demanded money. The armed suspects forced two employees into the bank vault, bound them and assaulted one of them.

The burglars stole an unknown amount of money and left the bank on foot.

The assaulted employee was transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The robbers were described as black males wearing winter style, dark colored jackets with the hoods pulled over their heads.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Anyone with information should call the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24 hour number). You may remain anonymous.
