OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City woman was shot in the stomach in an apparent domestic dispute Sunday morning, and her husband was taken into custody. Oklahoma City police confirm that the shooting took place at about 7:30 a.m. at a residence in the 12000 block of Pepper Tree Place, near Northwest 122nd and Meridian.

Edward C. Evans, 69, was arrested at the scene on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.

The Oklahoma County Assessor's page shows the owners of the house to be Billie and Edward Evans.

The shooting victim is expected to survive the shooting. She is being treated at a local hospital.
