RUSH SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- A depropanizer exploded at a plant just north of Cox City, sparking a fire.
There were reports that the explosion could be seen from as far as 20 miles away.
According to officials at the plant, three or four people were at the scene during the explosion but everyone has been accounted for. No injuries were reported.
A depropanizer is fractionating column in a gasoline plant that removes propane and lighter components.
The plant reportedly belongs to Enogex Products. The company operates three depropanizers at its Cox City, Wetumka and Calumet plants and provides wholesale propane fuel to local retail markets for distribution and use for home heating needs, according to the company's website.
