Life In Prison For A Former Tulsa Public School Teacher

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A former Tulsa Public School teacher John Gisler will spend the rest of his life in a state prison.

On October 7, 2010, John Gisler stopped his trial and pleaded guilty to child abuse, molestation, and child pornography charges.

At a hearing Thursday morning, a Tulsa County district judge gave Gisler a life sentence for each of the three child molestation charges, 20 years for the possession of child pornography charge and 20 years for the lewd molestation charge.

All sentences will run concurrently.

Gisler was a teacher for four years and also a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Tulsa.
