OKLAHOMA CITY – Utility crews have repaired a water main break on the northwest side of Oklahoma City, but part of Portland Avenue remains closed.
The 10-inch water main ruptured at 6 a.m. Thursday morning. Crews shut down the southbound lanes of Portland Avenue near N.W. 13th Street while they cleaned up the water and repaired the break.
Water has been restored to everyone who was affected.
Street maintenance crews will begin assessing the damage to the road on Friday. They'll either begin repairs or pass the job onto a contractor.
The city won't know when Portland Avenue will reopen until after the damage has been assessed.
