Teen Hit, Killed By Car On Northwest Expressway

WARR ACRES, Oklahoma – Warr Acres police said a teenager was hit and killed by a car on the Northwest Expressway Wednesday evening.

Police said the teen, believed to be between 13 and 15 years old, was trying to cross the N.W. Expressway in front of the McDonald's just east of MacArthur Avenue. He was hit by an older woman in the eastbound lanes of the expressway.

Police said the teen was wearing dark clothing and they believe she did not see him. The woman stopped after she hit the boy.

Officers think this was just a terrible accident and don't not believe the woman was under the influence of any alcohol or drugs. Right now, they don't expect charges to be filed against her.

The victim's name has not been released.
