EDMOND, Oklahoma -- With Thanksgiving behind us and the holiday season in full swing, quite a few families are searching now for the perfect tree.

"The smell and the tradition, I grew up with a real tree. It just makes it feel more Christmassy to me," said David Hogan, who was out Sunday searching for the perfect Christmas tree.

Hogan was like many Oklahomans Sunday afternoon out at Sorghum Mill Tree Farm picking up their real Christmas tree. A lot of people said there is nothing like going out and looking for that right tree and being able to cut it down themselves.

The owner of Sorghum Mill Christmas Tree and Blackberry Farm said he is now seeing fourth generation families coming out and picking up that perfect tree. When it all comes down to it, he said you can't beat the real thing.

"Fragrance, it's all about the smell. The artificial tree looks the same. It doesn't have the smell," said John Knight, Sorghum Mill Christmas Tree and Blackberry Farm.

And Knight said he has a tree perfect for allergy sufferers too.

"We have a tree for allergy sufferers called a Leyland Cypress. It's a hybrid tree has no seed or pollen and it's, it's great," Knight said.

Knight estimated he bagged over 100 trees on Sunday alone.

Those interested in picking out a tree at Sorghum Mill Christmas Tree Farm will be able to find trees averaging from about 3 feet on up to 11 feet.
