2 Earthquakes Shake Residents Near Luther

LUTHER, Oklahoma --  A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck near Luther Wednesday evening, followed by a 3.2 magnitude quake about one hour later.

The earthquake hit four miles southwest of Luther and five miles southeast of Arcadia at about 4:48 p.m.

The second earthquake struck at 5:45 p.m. five miles southwest of Luther and four miles northeast of Jones.

No damage was reported from either earthquake. Researchers said 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude quakes are typically the smallest felt by people.
