Airport Officials Urge Passengers To Be Ready For Security Screening

OKLAHOMA CITY -- With millions of people packing airports across the country, aviation officials are asking passengers to pack patience and be prepared for security screenings.

A spokesperson for Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City said almost every flight flying into and out of the airport is 100 percent full. It could take 30 to 40 minutes to pass through security lines.

There are several things you can do to make getting through security easier:

• Make sure you have your identification ready before you reach an agent.
• Take off your jacket and shoes while you're waiting
• Take your laptop out of your bag
• Remember the "3-1-1" rule for liquids: Containers of three ounces or fewer must fit in one quart-sized plastic bag. One bag per passenger.
