OKLAHOMA CITY -- A federal judge has sentenced two brothers for their roles in an Oxycontin-trafficking ring that involved their parents and older brother.

The Norman Transcript reports that U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton gave Zacharry Compton a 44-month prison term and Jeremy Compton was given three years in prison on Monday.

Federal investigators alleged that the men, their older brother, Josh Compton, and parents, Steve and Deborah Compton, conspired to distribute the prescription painkiller and conducted some of the operation out of their heating and air-conditioning business in Norman. Josh Compton was sentenced to four years in prison, and the parents have yet to be sentenced.

Zacharry Compton's attorney, Bill Zuhdi, says he believes the judge treated his client fairly.

Jeremy Compton's lawyer, Max Ferrell, says his client's term reflected his minimal role in the operation.
