NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Cleveland County district attorney has charged a former member of a University of Oklahoma spirit squad with making threats over the Internet.

Cameron Darryl Martin, 21, allegedly posted threats on Facebook and YouTube against Lori Kemmet, the spirit coordinator at OU.

OU's Senior Associate Athletics Director/Communications Kenny Mossman confirms that Martin was once a member of the Ruf/Neks male spirit squad. News 9 has learned that Martin was kicked off the squad following the OU-Texas game for unknown reasons.

According to a court affidavit, Martin posted a video in which he says in part, "I will murder the opponent, kill them at night...." The affidavit states that the victim believes the threat was directed at her because it was sent to her Facebook account.

"She is in a great amount of fear right now, not only for herself but for her family," said Assistant District Attorney David Brockman. "She has avoided going to some spirit functions to try to avoid Mr. Martin when she's shown up at some different places. So she's in a great deal of fear right now."

At last report, Martin had not been arrested.  Prosecutors are hopeful he will turn himself in later in the week.
