BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- There's good news in the economy for Broken Arrow.

Enerflow Industries announced it is adding 450 jobs to its payroll.  The Broken Arrow company opened its doors a year ago September. It quickly went from one employee to 50.

"Just right up my alley. This is exactly what I like to do, I like to build," said Michael Spear, an employee.

The company welds and fabricates equipment for oilrigs.

"Cementing equipment, fracturing equipment, coil tubing equipment, nitrogen pumping equipment, drilling rigs, you name it we probably build it," said John Power, with Enerflow Industries.

John Power, Enerflow's general manager, said the technology to manufacture oil and gas equipment has improved which means more business for his company. More business means more employees, so Enerflow is planning to add 450 jobs over the next ten years and nearly double the size of its facility.

"The core of our employees are going to be fitter welders, mechanics, automotive electricians. To support that we need bookkeepers, accountants, buyers, engineers," Power said.

"We're really happy to have them in Oklahoma," said Mike Fry, with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

Mike Fry, with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, said he expects more companies to follow Enerflow's lead.  He said the company's growth is just one more sign that we're coming out of the recession.

"I personally think that we are, we're going to see more and more, we're going to get busier over the next year or so," he said.

Michael Spear is benefiting from Enerflow's growth. He was just hired two days ago and hopes to be here for a long time.

"I want to be at a place that I know I can be there for 30 years and this is it right here, because it's going to be here," he said.

The company is plans to begin hiring right away.
