OKLAHOMA CITY -- A judge has sentenced a drunken juror who failed to show up for court and caused a mistrial in a case against a man accused of kidnapping and abusing a woman.

The judge ordered Oklahoma County deputies to go to Marvin Brown's house Friday, November 5, when he did not arrive for court. When deputies arrived at Brown's house, they discovered he was inebriated. He was arrested and booked into jail on a complaint of contempt of court.

Brown was sentenced Monday to 90 days in jail and a $100 fine.

Brown was a juror on the trial of 43-year-old Richard Wise. Wise is accused of handcuffing, choking and beating a woman he met on a fetish website. Both he and the woman, Nanette Larson, said the charges were unfounded because the two had a "sexual contract." Larsen testified in court that Wise did not attack her, and the case had been blown out of proportion.

Prosecutors have said you cannot have a contract to commit a violent act against another person. They planned to try the case again.
