ENID, Oklahoma – A burglary suspect was stabbed by an Enid homeowner after he broke into the man's home.

Enid police say Roger Grove entered the couple's home on E. Elm looking for another man who had lived there in the past. The homeowner said Grove attacked him and his wife so he stabbed the 41-year-old in self defense.

Grove fled the scene, but police received a call that he was found in a woman's front yard on Kelly Avenue and was bleeding badly. Police and medical personnel responded to the scene.

Grove was taken to Integris Bass Baptist Hospital. While at the hospital, the 41-year-old suspect was combative with officers and assaulted an officer with bodily fluid.

Roger Grove was released from the hospital and arrested for burglary, assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor assault and battery.
