OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahomans voted on 11 state questions Tuesday, approving more than half of the questions on the ballot.
• SQ 744: Common School Funding - Rejected
Deals with money spent on day–to–day operations of the schools and school districts
• SQ 754: State Government Expenditure Limitations - Rejected
Limits how the Constitution could control the appropriation process
• SQ 757: Constitutional Reserve Fund - Approved
Increases the amount of surplus revenue which goes into a special fund
• SQ 752: Judicial Nominating Commission - Approved
Adds two at–large members to the Commission
• SQ 755: Court Decisions - Approved
Makes courts rely on federal and state law when deciding cases, rather than considering or using international law or Islamic law
• SQ 751: English Language - Approved
Dictates English as the language to be used in official state action
• SQ 756: Health Care Systems - Approved
Allows for many provisions concerning the definition of "Health Care Systems," their functions, and their limitations
• SQ 746: Voter Identification - Approved
Requires that each person appearing to vote present a document proving their identity
• SQ 747: Term Limits for Statewide Elected Officials - Approved
Limits the number of years a person may serve in statewide elected offices
• SQ 748: Legislative Redistricting - Approved
Amends sections of the Oklahoma Constitution concerning voting districts
• SQ 750: Initiative Petition Signature Requirements - Approved
Decreases the number of required signatures
