OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is ready to keep the roads safe, not scary, over the Halloween weekend. Deputies will step up their presence and crack down on alcohol-related offenses.

The OCSO will conduct sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols starting at 10:30 p.m. October 29 and ending at 3:00 am on October 30. The OCSO said there will be a zero tolerance policy for people driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If a driver is found to be impaired, that person will be escorted to a secure area.

The OSCO said the checkpoints and patrols will not only keep drivers safe, it will protect children trick or treating in neighborhoods.
