MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma County prosecutor said a Midwest City mother was justified in shooting two teenage intruders and killing one of them in her home.
Amanda Walworth reacted quickly last week when she shot two burglars that were stealing her television.
Marquis Patterson, 15, died at the scene while a wounded 15-year-old Dewayne Kemp went to a friend's house-- who called 911.
District Attorney David Prater said "The resident's actions in defending her home and children were not only entirely lawful, but absolutely necessary to protect her family."
Walworth and her two children were not injured.
The victim's neighbors said the home had been broken into several times before this incident.
"To have something like this is horrifying, and to have it happen seven times, I would use lethal force myself," neighbor John Rider said.
