OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police chased down and arrested a man suspected of robbing at least two stores in northwest Oklahoma City.
Witnesses said Melven Boozer pulled out a gun and robbed two businesses at N.W. 36th Street and Western Tuesday morning. Police said after he ran from the stores, Boozer tried to jump into the back of a pickup truck, but the driver became scared and drove off.
Police spotted the suspect running near N.W. 29th and Western. After officers put Boozer in handcuffs, they said he tried to run again. They used a taser to immobilize Boozer.
Police took Boozer back to the scene of the robberies, where victims positively identified him as the robber. Police have not found the gun Boozer is accused of using in the robberies. They believed he may have dropped it in the back of the truck he tried to jump into.
