OKLAHOMA CITY -- Many are decked out in pink this month to show their support for those battling breast cancer. Now one community has come together to support one woman's cancer fight with a special benefit concert.

The friends and family of Twana Davidson put on a benefit concert to help raise money for Davidson and her family as she battles breast cancer.

"It just brings tears to my eyes, you know, to think that somebody wants to do this for me, and all the people that have called and want to come. It's just overwhelming. It's hard to imagine," Davidson said.

Davidson has a long family history of breast cancer. Her grandmother, mother and sister were all diagnosed with breast cancer. Davidson did what she could to prevent it, even going as far as having a double mastectomy. But the surgery didn't work, and four years ago, Davidson was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.

"They told me at that point I could still have 5 percent chance of ever getting it, and you know, you wouldn't ever think that, ever. But that was the 5 percent chance and I was that 5 percent," Davidson said.

Despite chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer has now spread to Davidson's liver, and her medical bills keep mounting up. But Davidson said she is determined to beat the odds.

"I just have to pray that its finished with me, you know, won't go any further," Davidson said. "I've got two daughters that I want to be around for when they grow up. See them get married and their grandchild, so it's kind of like, what do I need to do?" Davidson said.

And Davidson has a whole team of people doing what they can to help, whether its to pray, laugh, hug, or play a little music. Harvey & the Wallbangers performed during a benefit concert for Davidson Saturday.

Now the wife, mother, sister, survivor and warrior said she hopes she can inspire others to stay strong too.

"Don't give up. Don't ever give up. I mean, fight and fight because I think a lot it is mental. In your head, you have a good attitude about it, you can beat it," Davidson said.

About 300 people came out to the benefit concert Saturday. The group raised over $10,000 to help Davidson with her medical expenses.
