Firefighters Battle Large Grass Fires in North Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Fire Department worked two separate fire on the north side of the I-40 near Harrah Road Saturday afternoon.

Multiple agencies were called out to help Oklahoma City firefighters, including Newalla for tanker support due to a lack of water supply in the area.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department closed the outside lane of Interstate 40 westbound just west of Harrah Road for about four hours.

No structures were burned or were threatened. No injuries were reported.

Fire investigators are working to determine how the fire started.
