TULSA, Oklahoma -- A 25-year-old robbery suspect picked the wrong bar to hold up late Thursday night.

Tulsa Police say Roman Martinez walked into the Bar El Paraiso, in the 9400 block of East 31st Street, with an assault rifle and tried to rob the customers and take money from the bar's cash register.

Officers say several customers jumped Martinez and held him on the ground until Tulsa Police officers arrived and arrested him.  He suffered several injuries and was taken to a Tulsa hospital.  There is no word on his condition.

No one else in the bar was injured.
