Greyson Chance Performs for Fans at OU Fraternity Fundraiser

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma's rising music star is back home for a short break, but still at work. Greyson Chance was in Norman Thursday night for a small concert with a big cause.

Greyson Chance was at OU fraternity Delta Tau Delta, which his brother belongs to. He hosted a concert called A Chance for a Cause. It's a fundraiser for an organization that helps children with cancer, something that's near and dear to Greyson's heart.

Greyson agreed to do the concert for his brother's fraternity with all money raised going to Ally's House.

"Greyson really wants to help children's cancer, and he knows he has a fortunate time ahead of him, and he really feels he needs to give back to the community," said Tanner Chance, Greyson's brother.

The rising star is staying grounded by helping others.

"This is my dream. I'm blessed to be here, and I'll do anything to keep it going," Greyson said.

A Lady Gaga song that he covered on YouTube first made him famous on the Internet. Now the 13-year-old spent his summer in an L.A. recording studio working on his first album with Ellen DeGeneres.

"We have the single ready to be out pretty soon. I can't tell you a date, and I can't tell you a name yet but it's going to be out here pretty soon. The album is still coming along. I'm working with producers and everyone is so kind, and everyone respects one another," Greyson said.

Greyson and his mom are headed back to Los Angeles Sunday night.

Greyson said the things he misses most about Oklahoma are his friends, family and football.
