OKLAHOMA CITY -- With Oklahoma being one of the highest states in obesity, a statewide grocery chain is doing their part to help consumers make healthier choices.
"Customers today are looking for more choices when it comes to nutrition, and we're going to make it simple by introducing 'Guiding Stars,'" Homeland V.P. of Marketing Philip Payment said.
The Guiding Stars program is the world's first storewide nutrition navigation system to launch the good-better-best nutrition guidance on foods.
Each item throughout the grocery store receives a 0-3 star rating according to its nutritional value. The program offers shoppers a simple way to identify foods that offer the most nutrition for the calories.
