Tulsa Mother Charged With Murder In Death Of Two-Month-Old Daughter

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A Tulsa mother has been charged with second degree murder in the drowning death of her two month old baby girl.

Lisa Zillman was charged Tuesday in the death of Hannah Zillman.  Police said Hannah Zillman died on September 29, 2010 at an apartment in south Tulsa.

A search warrant says Hannah's father is the one who found the child. It says he told police Lisa took the girl into the bathroom for a bath.

The father told police after about 20 minutes of knocking on the bathroom door with no answer, he pried it open with a butter knife and found both Lisa and Hannah in the tub and unresponsive.

"The mother took a zanex and drank some alcohol and gave her two month old baby a bath. the next thing she remembers is her husband waking her up and her daughter being under the water," said Detective Jeanne MacKenzie, Child Crisis Unit.

Officers searched the couple's apartment for evidence and took pictures and measurements in order to re-enact what happened that evening.

Tulsa Police told the News On 6 that Lisa Zillman is seeking medical care in another city and will be arrested when she returns.

The couple also has a two year old child.
