OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police are searching for a gang of armed men responsible for a series of robberies in Oklahoma City.
Police said the men may have been involved in six robberies between Sept. 26 and Sept. 29. Witnesses in separate crimes gave similar descriptions of the suspects.
No one was hurt in any of the robberies, but the suspects carried guns and fired shots inside some of the businesses.
Police have released surveillance video of two of the crimes. One showed two men threatening a clerk with a gun. One suspect covered his face, but the other did not. His face was clearly visible as he emptied the cash register. The same suspect fired a shot at the clerk as the clerk ran out of the store.
In another robbery, three men with bandanas over their faces ran into a store and pointed a gun at a clerk. They forced him to open the cash register, grabbed the money then ran out.
Police believed the same group of men may have robbed several other businesses. Witnesses reported seeing them drive away in a light-colored, four-door vehicle.
If you have any information about the robberies, call the Oklahoma City Police Robbery Unit at 316-4859.
